The 2022 Shafer TD‑9 Cabernet Sauvignon is a bold, vineyard‑driven red blend from Napa Valley, inspired by the pioneering spirit of founder John Shafer—named for the first tractor (“TD‑9”) he taught himself to drive in 1973. Composed of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Merlot, 4% Malbec, and 3% Petit Verdot, the blend was aged for 18 months in 100% new French oak barrels (Allier and Tronçais). The 2022 vintage is characterized by rich color, clean elegance, and pure fruit expression, all balanced with vivid tension, bright acidity, and refined tannins.
