Our sweet “Florida style” super-pastry collaboration with our friends J. Wakefield Brewing’s Bourbon Barrel Aged Makowiec-Inspired Imperial Stout!
We attempted to replicate the traditional tastes of this Polish poppy seed pastry by boiling poppy butter and mashing buckets of poppy seeds. We aged it for a year in bourbon barrels and then added sticky, sweet orange blossom honey to finish it.
