Description
region: Piedmont, Italy
Unlike most other Italian Amari, Cardamaro is wine-based, deriving it’s name from the hunchback cardoon – a thistle-like plant in the sunflower family – that is also a key ingredient in one of the great Piemontese dishes, bagna cauda. Use this complex and versatile amaro anywhere you’d use Campari for a more floral, less bitter alternative.
