For this special edition, Drouin selected a 19-year-old calvados and gave it an extra maturation in ex-rum casks from the legendary Foursquare distillery in Barbados. The result? Tasting note

Colour

Golden with deep amber hues and a brilliant shine. The rum cask influence is clear in the warm, almost honeyed tint that graces the glass.

Nose

A surprisingly exotic bouquet where ripe apple and pear harmoniously blend with notes of tropical fruits like pineapple and banana. Behind these, hints of brown sugar, soft vanilla, a touch of coconut, and subtle spices reminiscent of cinnamon and ginger emerge. Light wood tones and a hint of roasted almond complete the aromatic profile.

Taste

Full and rounded, with a perfect balance of freshness and sweetness. The classic calvados flavors of stewed apple and pear compote are beautifully enhanced by the creamy influence of the Foursquare rum cask. Flavors of toffee, raisins, dried mango, and gentle spice unfold gradually on the palate. The texture is silky with impressive depth and richness.

Finish

Long, warming, and wonderfully layered. The fresh fruitiness lingers alongside notes of light tobacco, caramel, and a touch of tropical wood. An elegant and playful finish that invites you back for another sip.
