Description
The wine has a very delicate nose, rich in aromas of berry fruit such as cherry, blueberry, cassis and blackcurrant, mingled with touches of spice and herb (pink peppercorn, sage and rosemary) and subtle notes of cedarwood, tobacco and leather from time spent in oak.
The attack is powerful but highly elegant, with good structure and volume and balanced acidity. The mid-palate is full and complex, the tannins very silky and finely textured. The long finish is marked by lingering berry-fruit flavors with hints of tobacco.
