Origins & Craftsmanship
Part of the ultra-limited Buffalo Trace Antique Collection (BTAC) — a yearly assemblage of some of Buffalo Trace Distillery’s most distinguished whiskeys — George T. Stagg is inspired by the legacy of its namesake, a legendary figure in early 20th-century American whiskey history. Distilled at Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky, this expression uses the distillery’s time-honored mash bill and is matured for over 15 years and two months in new charred American oak barrels.
Bottled uncut and unfiltered at 136.1 proof (68.05% ABV), the spirit comes straight from barrel without dilution, preserving its full intensity and nuanced complexity. Each annual release is drawn from select barrels chosen for exceptional character and balance. The BTAC program is known for its meticulous barrel selection and age diversity, resulting in legendary releases year after year.
