It was given a finishing in a Moscatel sherry octave cask, helping to impart a wealth of fruity, spicy, generally yummy sherried notes to the already tasty whisky. Very snazzily presented, too.

Nose: Caramel and orchard fruit notes, backed up by festive spices and malt loaf.
Palate: Plump raisins and sultanas, with candied ginger thrown in too. A layer of honey and toffee sauce.
Finish: Nutmeg, orange blossom, a hint of mint leaf.
