NOSE – a robust toasted rye bread with notes of farm fresh sweet butter, hints of cinnamon, allspice, and nutmeg fill out the alluring aroma.
TASTE – robust, flavorful straight rye whiskey. In addition to the Rye, there is an immediate sensation of sweet butter combined with allspice. The sweetness of the Bayou XO finish mingles across the tongue with the rye and spices, for a fresh unique flavor. Finish is smooth, with the sweetness of butter and allspice giving way to a long and pleasant nutmeg sensation in the throat.
