Description
The 100% Islay Sherry Cask Matured was distilled from Kilchoman’s 2011, 2012, and 2013 barley harvests and matured for a minimum of 11 years in 16 ex-oloroso sherry butts. During maturation, layers of dried fruits and rich spices have infused into the whisky which balance beautifully with the natural citrus sweetness and peat smoke of Kilchoman.
Nose: Orange peel, dried fruits, light peat smoke and sweet spices
Palate: Rich smoke, and dark chocolate with honey, cooked apples, and malty sweetness.
Finish: Grilled fruits, plums, currants and lasting wood smoke.
