Description
Created to honor 250 years since Littlemill first began distilling, this extraordinary 45 Year Old release represents history preserved in liquid form. Distilled in 1976 and nurtured for decades, Master Blender Michael Henry carefully selected a handful of exceptional casks and granted them a final six-month finishing period in first-fill Oloroso sherry hogsheads. The result is a whisky of profound elegance—delicately floral yet richly layered, with the silken texture for which Littlemill is renowned.
To commemorate the milestone, Littlemill partnered with acclaimed Austrian photographer Stefan Sappert, whose Victorian-era photographic artistry inspired the remarkable presentation. Each decanter—mouth-blown by Glencairn Craftsmen—and each of the 250 individually signed silver-on-black glass plate photographs are unique, capturing both the soul of the distillery and the timeless craft it represents. This is not merely a release; it is a rare cultural artefact and the oldest Littlemill expression to date—an unforgettable Lowland legend preserved for those who cherish heritage and rarity.
