This was the last edition of the sherried 30yo before the introduction of the Fine Oak series, and also the last 30yo before Macallan revamped their bottle shape and packaging, ditching the wooden boxes for 25 year old and 30 year old.

Nose: Rich sherry notes, citrus, baking spice and wood smoke
Palate: Smooth and inviting, with notes of dried fruits, sherry, citrus and wood smoke.
Finish: Lingering and rich, with orange and spice.

The Macallan distillery is a single malt Scotch whisky distillery in Craigellachie, Moray. The Macallan Distillers Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Edrington Group which purchased the brand from Highland Distillers in 1999.
