Description
region: Chablis, Burgundy, France
Grape(s): CHARDONNAY
WINEMAKER: MARCEL SERVIN
Farming: practicing sustainable
The region of Chablis in the northwestern corner of Burgundy is famed for its bright and vibrant take on the noble Chardonnay. Continually producing high quality grapes, despite what can be challenging growing conditions at times, growing these grapes on the much heralded Kimmeridgian marl soil amazingly creates Chardonnays unlike any other in the world. Francois Servin farms only 9 acres of vines and is very particular about where he sells his wine. You can only find it here in North Carolina and in Japan!
Bright floral notes accompany flavors of
green apple and
tropical fruit that are backed up with crisp
acidity and a chalky
minerality that is classic Chablis.
