Mhoba Strand 151 is – like Strand 101 – a blend of high ester distillates and rum aged in glass tanks at the Mhoba distillery. The latter type of rum spends 2 years in glass demijohns filled with crushed fragments of fresh white oak, previously roasted over a charcoal fire. The effect of such a blend is a drink offering both notes of smoked vanilla and the natural sweetness of rum. Bottled as a liquor with an incredible strength of 75.5% vol.
