Description
Whiskey: Springbank 1997 Scotch Single Malt Circle (MC) 13 Year Old
Wonderful! The partly burnt-in sweetness harmonises perfectly with the dried fruits and earthy tones, citrus flavors with cocoa and wet wood provide another tasty component.

Springbank 1997 Scotch Single Malt Circle (MC) 13 Year Old Tasting Notes
Nose: Fresh leather. Yellow Gooseberry. Grapefruit. lemon with salt. Bit of engine oil. The Springbank notes are there, but I think they should be more pronounced. But it gets better after the first sip. Overall, the nose somehow has a sour and dull impac
Palate: Pretty sweet to start with. Apricot yoghurt candy. sugar beets. Caramel. rose water. In the mouth, the dirty Springbank character now comes through more. Also slightly musty and briefly some sharpness. But I somehow lack a counterpoint to sweetness. It could have been a little heartier.
Finish: Bit of citrus. Spicy is also noticeable in the finish. Relatively dry.
