Springbank 2000 Bottled for Awico 15 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky Tasting Notes

Nose: dirty, red notes, a note that I cannot name, earthy, mini-sour, light lemon, light motor oil, light cheese becomes less, minimal oak, slightly spicy, becomes sweet

Palate: soft, round, oily
dark chocolate, dark and tart berries, light oak, spicy, light very dark caramel, minimal smoke, oil / workshop mix, dirty, light menthol

Finish: medium long
very spicy, tart, minimal oak

Distillery Information

The Springbank distillery is a family-owned single malt whisky distillery on the Kintyre Peninsula in western Scotland. It is owned by J & A Mitchell & Company, who also owns the Glengyle Distillery, the oldest independent bottler, William Cadenheads, and several blended scotch labels.
